Hierogliffic and Other Stories by Turner G. Davis
For Hierogliffic and Other Stories, Turner created drawings on paper on a daily basis as a way of understanding the world, creating stories that are both autobiographical and fantastic.
Turner Davis has been drawing since he was a child, following his parents around museums and sketching from the Old Masters. Watching his artist father James G. Davis drawing and painting showed him a doorway to parallel worlds, resulting in a constant and passionate practice of art-making.
Davis exhibits at EyeLounge in Phoenix, and teaches drawing and painting at Arizona State University, where he achieved a Bachelors of Fine Art, and a
Masters of Art from Hoffberger School of Painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
