Temporary Art

Jellies in the Sky, Cacti in the Water

Shana Koenig, an LA-based artist recently featured at Santa Monica’s GLOW, has been commissioned to create a large scale temporary installation of glowing, color-changing fiber optic sculptures, bringing the ocean to our skies and desert plant life into the waters of the Arizona Canal between the Soleri and Marshall Way bridges. This installation is a part of Scottsdale Fall for the Arts, but will remain on display and glowing every night through winter 2015.

This project is supported in part by the Arizona Commission on the Arts which receives support from the State of Arizona and the National Endowment for the Arts
