Call for Proposal for The Cactus Collective Exhibition

Deadline: Friday, February 4, 2022, 11:59 p.m. Arizona time (year-round mountain standard time)

Eligibility: All artists, architects, muralists, sculptors, designers, and event design houses based in Scottsdale and the Phoenix Metropolitan Area.

Stipend: $1,500 USD

Description: Scottsdale Fashion Square, in partnership with Scottsdale Public Art, is seeking artists, muralists, sculptures, designers, and event design houses to create original works of art using the blank canvas of a full-size, artificial saguaro. Each artist is tasked with incorporating one Arizona’s five C’s of economy: cotton, climate, cattle, copper, and citrus into their proposal.

The finished work will be exhibited as a part of The Cactus Collective: a monthlong luxury showcase featuring 15 custom saguaro forms displayed throughout Scottsdale Fashion Square, along with a designers showcase, fashion shows, wellness activities, food, and mixology moments.
