You Can’t Have The QuARTer Without ART

Scottsdale Quarter, in partnership with Scottsdale Public Art, presents a series of LIVE Mural Painting Events as a part of the Art at the QuARTer temporary public art installation series. Eight local artists have been selected to create four 4’ x 8’ murals live during the Scottsdale Quarter Fall Concert Series on Saturdays, 5–7 p.m., in September and October 2019.

Painter Carrie Marill fearlessly approaches the tension between ornament and object, intellectual content and aesthetic emotion. Marill draws inspiration from a vast body of research, experience, and curiosity. From Persian miniature and Japanese architecture to folk art quilts and Moroccan patterns, in each presentation a disciplined philosophy of color and form pervade. Instagram: @punk.wasp

After the murals are completed, they will be installed along North 73rd Place, near Creamistry, at Scottsdale Quarter. Come see the murals as they are created. Then check out the wall as the new murals begins installation in October.
