Weaving dates back to the Paleolithic era, where it was used for functional items like fabric and baskets. Now, artisans have transformed the technique into a form of fiber art that is continuing to expand. Artist Amanda Neal will be teaching how to make wall hangings by weaving yarns, ribbons, and fiber into an artwork for you to take home! This workshop is in conjunction with the Huggernaut, Fiber Arts of Love exhibition at the Civic Center Public Gallery.
