“Sadly, I can’t find Rip’s recipe for a barbeque sauce that he had me make for the fabled Valentine’s weekend campout, cookout, and art exchange in the desert, out past Apache Junction. What I do have is great memories of the man, the artist, and friend. I met Rip in grad school, and, for me, he was one of the most supportive and influential professors, though I never had a class with him. I am very fortunate that the friendship continued for the rest of his life.” — Ron Bimrose

Ron Bimrose has been exhibiting and making art in the Phoenix area since 1976. He is a master printmaker and printmaking teacher at Mesa Arts Center. His work is in the collections of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown, New York; the Corcoran in Washington, D.C.; and Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, among many other national institutions.
