About
This juried group exhibition of collage artworks shows the ingenious minds of artists who are sticking unusual elements together to bring a cohesive voice to the viewer. Many of these artists have used untraditional materials for their messages about the value of community: sticks, thread, doll parts, fabric, rocks, and original watercolors cut and repurposed as stop-motion animation. The main theme throughout the exhibition is the value of community and respect for everyone’s life experiences—and that we are all unique and need each other. Curated by Airi and Riho Katsuta, the creative force behind the collage collective Cut+Paste Phoenix, which is dedicated to fostering a sense of community through creative, tactile, and meaningful experiences for individuals of all ages and skill levels.
