Hector Ortega

Goldwater and 5th Avenue Park 

Scottsdale Public Art is working with Hector Ortega on a public art project at the Goldwater and 5th Avenue Park, located at the northwest corner of Goldwater Boulevard and 5th Avenue in Old Town Scottsdale. The park is currently in the design phase.  

Ortega has been selected to install his existing artwork, Reliance, for the park. Reliance was commissioned by Scottsdale Public Art for the now-retired temporary public art program IN FLUX in 2022. Reliance is a 12-foot weathered-steel sculpture, inspired by the interconnections we all share in our daily lives.
