Join Scottsdale Public Art to recognize the newest temporary public artwork installed in Scottsdale in this special celebration at Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA)!
Artists Nicole Davy, Zach Valent, and Shela Yu will discuss the inspiration, design, and technical aspects of their respective artworks, all of which were installed this spring in south Scottsdale. Light bites and drinks will be available. Guests are also welcome to explore the SMoCA exhibitions during their visit.
A Gathering Place mural by Shela Yu was completed at the City of Scottsdale water riser and concrete SRP well site at 82nd Street and Thomas Road.
Sculptures Desert Bloom by Nicole Davy and Oh Devil! by Zach Valent were installed on plinths located along Scottsdale Road at Oak Street and Roosevelt Street, respectively.
