Maxine Kim Stussy

Horse

This sculpture, made of laminated plywood, was donated to the Scottsdale Fine Arts Commission in 1975 by the artist. Maxine Kim Stussy was born in Los Angeles and studied at the University of Southern California. Although she worked primarily in wood early in her career, around the early 1970’s she developed a hyper-allergic reaction to wood, forcing her to change mediums to bronze and clay.
